Composite IMPP Cone with Interlaced Aramid Fiber

With long aramid fibers interlacing together inside, this IMPP cone design provides the strength and rigidity that powerful bass sound requires. High-density compressed internal architecture is resilient, stacks up against high power well and transfers sound quickly. The result is full-bodied, rich sound character with midrange depth that conventional IMPP cones cannot match.

Pioneer A-Series component speaker systems offer high-quality sound and powerful playback, with the strong stereo image that only separate components can provide. The tough woofers pound out the low frequencies, the separate tweeters open up the sound with detailed highs, and the external crossovers make sure that every note's in perfect balance.

The TS-A1702C system includes 6-1/2" woofers made from polypropylene laced with Aramid, a synthetic fiber used in bullet-proof vests. Add in butyl rubber surrounds, and you can count on these woofers to pump out strong bass for years to come. You can surface- or flush-mount the component tweeters, and you can swivel them after installation to face your listening position.
